Marcy Helfand

Marcy enjoys using her long-term experience in all facets of transactional commercial real estate law to assist her clients with whatever they need to purchase, sell, develop or lease their commercial project, whether it be multifamily, office, industrial or retail. With attention to detail and strong negotiating and interpersonal skills, Marcy drafts documents which will meet all of her client’s needs and stand the test of time. Marcy enjoys assisting clients with everything from a small space lease to a multi-use planned development. Marcy’s clients value her sound advice and drafting skills and know that they will have a positive experience working with her.

Marcy focuses her practice on drafting commercial real estate documents for all facets of acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of retail, office, industrial and multifamily properties. With years of experience, she can raise issues that might not be obvious and successfully conduct negotiations on every aspect of a transaction.  Her careful review of documents allows her to bring to the attention of her client the items which might be of concern to them, and her drafting skills make documents clear and comprehensive.

Marcy attended Pomona College in Claremont, California and then completed her undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University, majoring in Political Science and graduating with High Honors.  She then attended Southern Methodist University School of Law , graduating Cum Laude and Order of the Coif.

Marcy has been Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law since 1984, has been a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas for over 30 years, is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell and is in Who’s Who in American Law, Marquis Publishing. ​
